(More customer reviews)I purchased this chair for my daughter when she was about 14 months old because she absolutely hated sitting in her clip-on high chair and we had never bothered to buy a standard high chair.It was pretty simple to put together, but my husband and I are used to assembling flat-packed furniture (almost our entire house is furnished by an IKEA down the street).I did put one back cross bar on upside down because I wasn't paying attention, and if I didn't care that the logo was upside down I could have left it that way easily.

The finish on this chair has withstood our abuse so far, which is no small task with a messy eater and large dogs.There are some areas on the backrest cushion where I didn't wipe up tomato sauces immediately and they left a little halo, but it's hardly noticeable.The seatbelt system works well for us, and I can remove it pretty easily for laundering if I ever get up the motivation.There is a hole in the seat cushion where the center strap comes through that tends to gather spilled food, but it's easy to lift the cushion a little and wipe underneath after meals.I've been impressed with the over-all stability of the chair, too.My daughter tries to climb into it herself, which she hasn't accomplished yet, but no matter where she steps or how she pulls on it I haven't seen it tip at all.

Two notes on the cushion system - one, the seat stays in place by fitting into the notches on the sides of the chair and has a little overhang in front and in back, but it can slide back and forth if your little one gets wiggly and then the seatbelt doesn't fit properly.I've gotten used to making sure the cushion is in place each time I put my daughter in it.Two, the back cushion has a foam post of sorts that goes through the hole in the back of the chair to hold it in place, which works fine unless your kid leans too far to the side.Then the part of the cushion that curves around to support their backs also makes the cushion pull off of the chair entirely.My husband was going to put some self-adhesive Velcro on the back pad if it continued to be an issue, but my daughter has calmed down in her mealtime gymnastics.
