(More customer reviews)I got this specifically to be used as a travel high-chair.My in-laws recently moved to a small apartment and they don't have the space to store even a travel high chair.It worked fine on their narrow-backed dining chairs.But it didn't work at all for standard-width, solid-backed chairs in a hotel we stayed at a month later.My son is only 9 months old and around 20lbs, and this seat is supposed to work until at least 18 months.It was very frustrating.I can't understand why the strap part isn't longer to accommodate wider chairs and/or bigger kids.And the placement of the velcro is such that there are only a couple of settings to attach the child to the chair.Kids don't just come in small and large, so if you're trying to SECURELY attach a kid who is between the two velcro settings, you're in trouble.

This is probably fine if you only want it for the shopping cart or to cover restaurant high chairs.But except for with spindle-backed chairs where you can more easily choose how to attach it so it's secure, this just doesn't work as a high-chair stand-in.
